By accessing, booking, or using Racket Barn’s facilities and services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These apply to all users of the courts, café/bar, pro shop, coaching, leagues, tournaments, corporate events, and all associated services.

Racket Barn reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the facilities constitutes acceptance of any changes.

1. General

  • Use of Racket Barn facilities and participation in any activity is entirely at the user’s own risk.
  • Entry to the premises and/or making a booking constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Racket Barn may refuse entry or service to any individual who breaches these Terms or behaves in a manner deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

2. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings must be made through Racket Barn’s official booking platform (Padel Mates).
  • Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may not be refunded.
  • Racket Barn reserves the right to cancel, amend, or reschedule bookings, sessions, leagues, or events due to operational, safety, or unforeseen circumstances. Where appropriate, a refund or alternative will be offered at Racket Barn’s discretion.

3. Membership & Booking Rules

  • Memberships are strictly non-transferable and may only be used by the named member.
  • Any court booking made using a membership must be attended by the member who made the booking and whose name appears on the booking platform

Members may not:

  1. Allow non-members to benefit from membership-only access, discounts, or priority booking
  2. Book courts for non-members when they are not present
  3. Use membership privileges to secure courts for others
  4. Book multiple courts simultaneously for non-members while playing elsewhere

Misuse of membership bookings may result in:

  1. Immediate cancellation of bookings
  2. Suspension or termination of membership without refund
  3. Loss of future booking privileges

4. Use of Facilities

  • Appropriate sports footwear and clothing must be worn on court at all times.
  • A maximum of four players are permitted on court unless authorised by staff.
  • Wrist straps must be worn when using padel rackets.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times unless participating in an organised session.
  • Food and drink may only be consumed in designated areas. No glass is permitted on or near courts.

Alcohol may only be consumed in designated areas and by persons aged 18 or over. Racket Barn reserves the right to refuse alcohol service.

5. Health, Safety & Medical

  • All users must comply with safety signage, venue rules, and staff instructions at all times.
  • Users are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate in padel, pickleball or any other activity.
  • All accidents, injuries, or incidents must be reported to staff immediately so they can be recorded in the accident book. Failure to report an incident at the time may affect any subsequent investigation.
  • Racket Barn provides first aid where reasonably practicable but is not responsible for the outcome of injuries sustained through participation.
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere inside the venue.
  • Emergency exits must remain clear at all times.

6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver

  • Participation in padel, pickleball and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, collisions, impact injuries, and equipment-related injuries.
  • By using the facilities, users voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with participation.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Racket Barn, its directors, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from use of the facilities, except where directly caused by proven negligence of Racket Barn.
  • Users waive any right to claim compensation for injuries or losses not caused by Racket Barn’s negligence.

7. Code of Conduct

  • All users must behave respectfully toward staff, coaches, and other customers.
  • Aggressive behaviour, misuse of facilities, unsafe conduct, or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs may result in immediate removal from the venue and possible banning.

8. Safeguarding

  • Racket Barn is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Staff and coaches working with under-18s are subject to enhanced DBS checks where required.
  • Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

9. CCTV & Data Protection

  • CCTV is in operation throughout the premises for safety and security purposes.
  • CCTV footage will only be reviewed or shared with appropriate authorities where legally required.
  • Racket Barn complies with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data is processed solely for operational and legal purposes.

10. Liability & Indemnity

  • Racket Barn accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • Users are responsible for their own personal insurance.
  • Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Racket Barn, its directors, employees, and contractors against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from misuse of the facilities or breach of these Terms.

11. Complaints & Feedback

  • Complaints should be submitted to the Venue Manager or via official contact channels.
  • All complaints will be acknowledged and handled in accordance with Racket Barn’s procedures.

By booking or entering Racket Barn, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them to the fullest extent permitted by law.
